The healthcare issue is something that’s hotly debated between Steve and I and all across the country. Being balls deep in a Sociology degree, Steve loves to challenge my beliefs and opinions and this issue always seems to creep up when we are discussing government. I usually hold steadfast in my belief that healthcare, at least the insurance part, should be privatized, but two things besides Steve being a smart ass bag caught (or were brought to) my attention to make start thinking otherwise.

Didn’t really want to write a whole post on this, but I think it’s pretty awesome that Americans are starting to look beyond Democrats and Republicans as serious choices for President. Yes Obama, we do need a change and you or any of the other political front runners are not it!

I, like the late great Martin Luther King, Jr., have a dream. I dream of a time when everyone one can have a health care provider they do not have to pay for. I have a dream people, that no matter how much money you make, you can afford to get seen by a doctor for your OS problem. Yes, I have a dream…Uhh, no. Unlike MLK Jr’s dream, mine looks good on paper but not so good in practice.
