The Great Healthcare Debate

Friday, October 23rd, 2009 | 219 views

Health CareThe healthcare issue is something that’s hotly debated between Steve and I and all across the country. Being balls deep in a Sociology degree, Steve loves to challenge my beliefs and opinions and this issue always seems to creep up when we are discussing government. I usually hold steadfast in my belief that healthcare, at least the insurance part, should be privatized, but two things besides Steve being a smart ass bag caught (or were brought to) my attention to make start thinking otherwise.

The first thing was a story Steve had told me about his Dad having some sort of issue, and I’m (more…)

The Rise of Independents?

Friday, October 23rd, 2009 | 96 views

YES!

Didn’t really want to write a whole post on this, but I think it’s pretty awesome that Americans are starting to look beyond Democrats and Republicans as serious choices for President. Yes Obama, we do need a change and you or any of the other political front runners are not it!

I’m Going Independent…You Should, too

Thursday, June 25th, 2009 | 150 views

Republican LogoI’m done…I can’t sit here and be part of an organization that is as hypocritical as the fucking Republican Party. So, as of today, I am officially announcing my political realignment from the Republican Party to that of an Independent. Both Democrats and Republicans have become empty shells of their former selves that share the same goals regurgitated under a different guise.  For years I’ve tried to defend the actions of Republicans to anyone who doubted them. No more…

What happened to the kind of politicians that wrote the Declaration of Independence? Where’s (more…)

Atheism Is Not A Religion

Wednesday, June 24th, 2009 | 193 views

American AtheistOk, this article or whatever does not aim to prove or disprove God in any way shape or form. While I consider myself a Christian, I am not an intolerant asshole when it comes to differing viewpoints on the existence or nonexistence of God. As Steve will tell you I’m pretty open to the differing views of people who don’t agree with me because I think it’s very interesting to see how others perceive the world around them and, in turn, have mostly intellectual discussions based on those perceptions. I know that by now you are probably wondering where I’m going with all of this, so… (more…)

Joe Biden: To Speak or Not to Speak

Thursday, June 11th, 2009 | 108 views

Joe BidenOk, ok, I think that by now all two of you who read our shit here knows how I feel about our current President and it occurred to me today that I have never said anything about our half-retarded Vice President.

This guy has said more dumb shit in the past several months than Al Gore said in the 8 years he played with Papa Clinton at the White House. I mean I know its human nature to occasionally say the wrong thing at the wrong time (read: little G.W. Bush), but damn…there seems to be no end to his overly stupid comments. (more…)

Memorial Day

Monday, May 25th, 2009 | 120 views

Eagle and FlagMemorial Day is a day that we step back and honor those who have fought and died in the service of their country. Since the days of Woodrow Wilson, the current President has laid commemorative wreaths on the memorials for our fallen brothers and sisters in arms. This past Memorial Day a group of about 60 liberal-minded dickhole professors thought it’d be nice to send a message to Obama giving reasons why he should not honor the soldiers that fought on the side of the Confederacy during the Civil War…why? Veterans and Crosses and the ACLU, Oh My!

Thursday, May 21st, 2009 | 104 views

Normandy-Sea of CrossesAs I was perusing the Washington Times this morning, I came across this little gem. As a veteran myself, it pisses me off to no end that a fucking racist, America hating organization is again sticking its nose where it doesn’t belong.

Let me set this up for you in case you don’t want to read the article. There is a 7-foot cross standing in a desert in California and the ACLU says that it is offensive to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in battle because it honors Christianity and not any other religion. Want to know the best part? The vets of California are fighting to keep it. See the problem here? (more…)

PlayStations in Jail?

Saturday, May 16th, 2009 | 206 views

Playstation LogoEvidently I need to rethink my current situation in life…seems like in the UK people who have been thrown in jail can play video games.

Yup, you heard me right…you can play video games in jail. I ran across this article today as I was checking out Fox News online. (more…)

Gay Rights

Monday, May 11th, 2009 | 103 views

Gay Rights LogoI have yet another semester of college getting ready to start so I will probably be relatively busy here in the near future.  As a result, I want to take this time to write a lengthy article that will probably attract more attention than anything we have written so far.  I tend to get my ideas for these posts from topics that are being discussed around me.  Often times I have an opinion on the issue at hand, but for whatever reason may not partake in the conversation.  One such topic that has been being discussed at great length recently is gay marriage and the debate of whether or not it should be legal.  This subject needs to be put to rest because there is only one right answer.  It is not an opinion; it is a social fact that must be accepted for our culture to advance, gay rights need to be afforded and sightless bigotry needs to cease. Baseball-To Roid or Not to Roid

Monday, May 11th, 2009 | 114 views

SyringesPicture this…you’re one of the most prolific home run hitters in baseball, you make upwards of 15 million dollars a year and even at age 42 you have the best batting average in the league. Who are you? You’re Barry fucking Bonds in 2004 and you are having one of the best seasons in your career. Little did you know that the next year, people would be calling you a roid user and your career forever tainted… (more…)

Save Us From the News

Tuesday, April 28th, 2009 | 92 views

CNNTo follow up on Creep’s recent post, “Kids,” I want to make a few things clear about the media.  Someone as rationale as Creep (believe it or not he really is) is being lead to believe that kids being killed is a new epidemic.  First of all, the prevalence of these sick crimes is at the same height that it has been for several years. Enough Obama Drama

Saturday, April 25th, 2009 | 97 views

Barack ObamaI was pretty sure that no political posts would come from me this go around, but in response to the recent Obama hating, I feel the need to speak my mind.  I’m over hearing people say that Obama is a celebrity and not a president.  When did a high approval rating make you a celebrity, and further more, when did that become a bad thing.  “Oh no, people like the president.  He’s a celebrity.”  What?  I digress.  (more…)

Miss California, I Applaud You

Tuesday, April 21st, 2009 | 64 views
Carrie PrejeanAfter coming home from a trip to see my brother, I decided to lay down and relax to unwind and watch a littleTV. I tune into my typical crap of E! News and wait to see what some stupid celebrity has done now. Then this news story came up.

Apparently during the Miss USA pageant when asked her views in Gay Marriage by an openly gay judge, Perez Hilton, Carrie PrejeanCalifornia, gave a not so politically correct answer and as everyone agrees it cost her the crown. Ok..

1. Why is it that when someone comes out and states their opinion on gay marriage and its not the approving opinion they get shut down? And its not like she was obscene, rude or derogatory about it. Why should she have to lie about her honest belief just to pacify a “lifestyle”.

2. I don’t even think there should be political questions on this stupid pageant anyways. You are going to take away a women?s chances of winning because on the off chance of this kind of thing happens and the person expresses the belief that in conflicting to yours. So you’re going to penalize her even if her answer was perfectly worded and spoken.

3. All these “celebrities” have come out and commented on what she should have said. I say F you. You shouldn’t have to lie about your beliefs just because of the type of people that are business your in. So Miss California, I applaud you and even though I didn’t watch any of the stupid pageant, you should have won just on the shear fact that you didn’t give in like so many of the other airheads who just rattle out the same shit they always do about “World Peace” or something else that is unattainable. Good job.

Why Big Government Is Stoopid Part 2-Socialized Health Care

Sunday, April 19th, 2009 | 101 views

Health CareI, like the late great Martin Luther King, Jr., have a dream. I dream of a time when everyone one can have a health care provider they do not have to pay for. I have a dream people, that no matter how much money you make, you can afford to get seen by a doctor for your OS problem. Yes, I have a dream…Uhh, no. Unlike MLK Jr’s dream, mine looks good on paper but not so good in practice.

Well people this is part 2 of my probably never ending series entitled “Why Big Government Is Stoopid”. I know what some of you are saying…”Creep, wouldn’t free health care for everyone be super fucking awesome cool?” (more…)

Why Big Government Is Stoopid Part 1-Bailouts

Sunday, April 19th, 2009 | 82 views

Money with a BowThis was going to be one big long post, but after I started writing the bailouts section, I realized it would get way too big to read in one sitting. So here it is, WGIS Part 1-Bailouts.

On the subject of bailouts…why the fuck am I paying to bail companies out? If a company goes down because of poor management, decline in sales or any other reason, why should the taxpayers be forced to give them money to stay afloat? That’s not my problem unless I have a vested interest in the company. I drive a Honda so why should I give two shits about GM? A lot of businesses have come and gone…so what. That is the nature of business. Starting a company is like gambling-sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. It’s a risk you take when starting one. (more…)

Religion In School

Saturday, April 18th, 2009 | 98 views

Tabitha RuizI was watching FOX news the other day (yes I watch FOX news and yes I know its biased toward the right, but I am, in fact, a right leaner) and they did a story on two women, Kandy Kyriacou and Ojoma Omaga, who got threatened with suspension for praying for a sick professor at the College of Alameda. What the fuck is that? I understand we have this notion of seperation of church and state in this country and that’s fine, but why the hell should someone get suspended for praying in school?

The Great American Tea Parties

Wednesday, April 15th, 2009 | 142 views

Teaparty-Change SignFirst let me say that this rant will not be about whether or not I agree with why these “parties” were put together, because trust me, that shit is coming in my “Why Big Government is Stoopid” post. This is going to be more about the news coverage of said gatherings.

I will start by quoting the constitution:

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” (more…)

Lies and Propaganda: The American Nazi

Tuesday, April 14th, 2009 | 105 views

Stupid Nazi GuyI know that this bullshit isn’t anything new, but as I sit here today and watch the History Channel, they are airing a two hour special about Nazis in America. This shit is so funny to me. It’s pretty hard to believe that they are still around in this day and age. There are so many roads I could take with this, so bear with me if I seem to be going all over the place. (more…)

Oh Noez, Piratez!

Tuesday, April 14th, 2009 | 128 views

Somali PiratesI have just learned, as I’m sure most of you have, that Somali pirates have just made the USA their number one enemy. Seriously?

For those of you who don’t know about it because you live under a rock, sometime last week a group of 4 pirates from Somalia tried to capture an American ship, the Maersk Alabama. They eventually got on board and quickly captured the vessel. (more…)

Objectum-Sexuality

Saturday, April 4th, 2009 | 400 views

Erika Eiffel

There are people in this world, I have recently learned, that feel “love” for objects. I’m not talking about your typical dildo-happy soccer mom, I’m talking about people like Erika Eiffel, pictured left, who “married” the Eiffel Tower.

I had never heard of this before today, but the talk radio station in my town was doing some sort of special on it and no matter what these people said, I just couldn’t bring myself to change the station out of some sort of morbid curiosity.

Here it is in Erika’s own words from the OS Website:

What is Objectum-Sexuality? Simply put…OS, is an orientation just as hetero and homo sexuality are orientations of one’s innate sexuality. Replacing the term hetero with object will most accurately describe Objectum-sexuality. But my personal definition is to be emotionally and physically attracted to objects. (more…)

About MSF.com

Steve and Chris started thingsthatpissusoff.com several years ago and was unfortunately shut down after only one year. MSF.com is an ongoing attempt to sort of "re-live" those days, but, at the same time, bring better writing and solid articles to the table. Feel free to comment on anything posted here because that's essentially what the site is here for. If you'd like to post your own articles to MSF.com, all you have to do is ask. Also, the ads shown on this site don't necessarily reflect MSF views or beliefs. They are semi-random and based on key words I think.
