Freddy 2010Wow, has it really been that long since anyone posted here? I’d like to apologize on behalf of MSF to the readers out there as it was very unprofessional of us. Steve and I have had a lot going on lately with his schooling, my new job and just life in general. I did, however, try to have a couple others post here while we “away”, but they never sent me anything. Eh, such is life.

On to the post:

I first mentioned the fact that Michael Bay was producing (more…)

The Great “8″: Bringing Hockey To America

Sure, he’s from Russia. Sure, he will go to the winter Olympics and do his best to lead the Russians past Team U.S.A. in a couple weeks. However, when you look at the body of work and the excitement that Alexander Ovechkin has brought to the NHL, it is unbelievable the impact he is having on the sport of hockey; particularly in the U.S. where hockey is hardly recognized as a sport.

I have followed all of the Washington teams throughout my life and have very rarely had too many players on these teams that I can truly rally behind. Of course, I (more…)

Good People Do Exist

The Devil Wears PradaMy procrastination almost made me miss a concert tonight that I have been counting down the days until for over three months.  I have been anxiously awaiting the Devil Wears Prada, All That Remains, and Story of the Year show since the day it was announced. Unfortunately, when I went to the Norva today to purchase my ticket I was informed that the show was sold out. I didn’t weep, but I considered it.  After basically giving up on the idea of going, I thought of one last ditch effort to possibly get to the show…Craig’s List. (more…)

American Comics vs Manga

Death NoteWell, well, it’s seems like it’s been forever since anything was posted on the site, so my apologies for that (Jules, since you are the only one who reads this shit).

Anyway, I’ll get to it. I’ve just recently started to get back into reading comics books,  and I must say that I’m glad to be back. It all started when I was reintroduced to Anime by Steve with Death Note, the excellent adaptation of the Manga with the same name, which naturally led to an interest in Manga, the Japanese counter parts of American comic books. After getting my hands on a few (more…)

Just Effing Stop…

Michael BayAttention Michael Fucking Bay: STOP REMAKING HORROR MOVIES! In the last 6 years you have managed to remake 4 horror movies and yet another one is set to be released to theaters next year. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre was great…I really enjoyed it, man…great job with that one. The Amityville Horror was decent. We got to see Van Wilder become a possesed dickhead bent on trying to kill his family. But The Hitcher, Friday the 13th and now Nightmare On Elm Street? Give me a fucking break man. You ruined the Friday series for me and from the trailer for Nightmare, you’ve made Freddy look…well…fucking ridiculous. Here’s a thought for you: make an original movie. I know you can do it. Transformers 1 and 2 were awesome as were The Rock and Bad Boys. (more…)

Death of a Legend

Michael JacksonI was stunned today to hear that Michael Jackson has passed away at the age of 50.  I was slightly more stunned to hear of the way people reacted to his death.  Everyone I know was celebrating like he was the reincarnation of Stalin or Hitler.  I understand that Michael was involved in some hideous acts that should not be forgotten.  However, he also had an impact on the music industry that needs not be forgotten either.  More over than that, despite all the jokes, despite all the ridicule, he was a man.   (more…)

Being Christian Is A VERY Christian Thing To Do

Norma Jean-Bless the Martyr and Kiss the ChildThis is a post that is hard for me to write in the sense that I truly have no intention of offending anyone and that may be difficult.  However, I promise to write this opinion as fair as possible.

I am a huge fan of hardcore music and attend several shows a month.  One of the very fast growing trends is a movement of hardcore Christian music, or Christ-Core.

Modern Horror Cinema

Tuesday, May 5th, 2009 | 87 views

Jason-Friday the 13thSince the SteveV2.0 threw me the bone, I’ll take it…This whatever-the-fuck-you-want-to-call-it will be about the state of modern horror cinema. I’ll talk on the two things about modern horror movies that piss me off the most: remakes and gore-nography. I know what you may be thinking…out of all the shit I could say about this genre of movies, I had to pick these two points. Well my rebuttle is simple – when you sit down to watch a horror movie you should expect two things (three if it’s a sequel) – Bad acting, huge plot holes and, if it’s a sequel, terrible continuity from the previous movie. If you don’t, I’m sorry you’re an idiot. Anyways, on to the point of this thing… (more…)

And The Ending Is…

Sunday, April 19th, 2009 | 105 views

Spoiler Alert!!!Spoiler Alert!”  Do you ever go to a site to download a movie and the very first review you see says this before the article.  Do you every wonder why?  Well, I have experienced several instances in the past several years that give me an idea with why sites must add this tag to the beginning of every post; people are obsessed with ruining and spoiling the end to EVERYTHING!

About MSF.com

Steve and Chris started thingsthatpissusoff.com several years ago and was unfortunately shut down after only one year. MSF.com is an ongoing attempt to sort of "re-live" those days, but, at the same time, bring better writing and solid articles to the table. Feel free to comment on anything posted here because that's essentially what the site is here for. If you'd like to post your own articles to MSF.com, all you have to do is ask. Also, the ads shown on this site don't necessarily reflect MSF views or beliefs. They are semi-random and based on key words I think.
