I’m going to take a bit of a break from my political articles and slow stuff down a bit and get back to the light-hearted side of myself. As you can probably guess from the name of this one…it’s all about running…and of course, why I hate it.

Now I’ve been running at least 3 times a week for the past 6 months or so and still cannot find it in me to like anything about it. I hear people all the time talk about how it’s something you get used to or I’m told to wait until I start getting that “runner’s high”. Runner’s high, eh? I don’t know shit about it, because if I had ever experienced it, you bet your sweet ass that I’d run everyday just to experience it again. I’m a huge fan of making myself feel good through entirely legal ways.

I guess the part that astounds the shit out of me are people who feel the need to do this and actually like it. What the fuck is there to like about putting your body through something that agonizing on a regualr basis. Hell, I’d just as soon as get hit in the face a couple times a day and call it good. Seriously, you want me to run? Would you consider kicking me in the balls instead? I’d *almost* would rather that happen everyday.

Like I said, I hate running. I hate everything about running. There is nothing about running that excites me. Nothing about the before, during or after that appeals to me in any way. I must confess though, that once I was able to hit 2 miles and work my way up to 3 without stopping, it felt good…but even that went away as soon as I went on my next running excursion.

I know, I know, I’m a fat bastard and this is probably the best way for me to not be as big as Rosie O’Donnell, but still…fuck running, fuck it in it’s stupid, painful ass…everyday.
