Save Us From the News

Tuesday, April 28th, 2009 92 views

CNNTo follow up on Creep’s recent post, “Kids,” I want to make a few things clear about the media.  Someone as rationale as Creep (believe it or not he really is) is being lead to believe that kids being killed is a new epidemic.  First of all, the prevalence of these sick crimes is at the same height that it has been for several years. Kids

Melissa HuckabyWhat in the fuck is up with the news being flooded with kids getting killed lately? It seems as though this is like some kind of sick epidemic. I know this kind of thing happens all the time, but it seems to me like it is happening with more frequency as of late.

Enough Obama Drama

Saturday, April 25th, 2009 97 views

Barack ObamaI was pretty sure that no political posts would come from me this go around, but in response to the recent Obama hating, I feel the need to speak my mind.  I’m over hearing people say that Obama is a celebrity and not a president.  When did a high approval rating make you a celebrity, and further more, when did that become a bad thing.  “Oh no, people like the president.  He’s a celebrity.”  What?  I digress.  (more…)

College is Better Than Pro…No!

Friday, April 24th, 2009 157 views

NFL vs NCAAI have recently been a part of several debates concerning which is better…college sports or pro sports.  To me this is really an easy answer, but to my surprise the majority of people I talk to disagree with me.  I am on the side (that seems to be the minority) that feels that pro sports are much better than college sports.  Here’s my argument. At what point are you the ignorant one?

Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009 101 views

Attack of the MulletMany of the entries that were written several years ago (which ironically, and not by me, were posted on this site) claim that others are ignorant for any variety of reasons.  However, as I sit here reading these claims, I notice one glaring similarity of all the posts; the very limited use of language.  (more…)

Running

Tuesday, April 21st, 2009 104 views

Homer Simpson-RunningI’m going to take a bit of a break from my political articles and slow stuff down a bit and get back to the light-hearted side of myself. As you can probably guess from the name of this one…it’s all about running…and of course, why I hate it.

Now I’ve been running at least 3 times a week for the past 6 months or so and still cannot find it in me to like anything about it. I hear people all the time talk about how it’s something you get used to or I’m told to wait until I start getting that “runner’s high”. Runner’s high, eh? I don’t know shit about it, because if I had ever experienced it, you bet your sweet ass that I’d run everyday just to experience it again. I’m a huge fan of making myself feel good through entirely legal ways. (more…)

Miss California, I Applaud You

Tuesday, April 21st, 2009 64 views
Carrie PrejeanAfter coming home from a trip to see my brother, I decided to lay down and relax to unwind and watch a littleTV. I tune into my typical crap of E! News and wait to see what some stupid celebrity has done now. Then this news story came up.

Apparently during the Miss USA pageant when asked her views in Gay Marriage by an openly gay judge, Perez Hilton, Carrie PrejeanCalifornia, gave a not so politically correct answer and as everyone agrees it cost her the crown. Ok..

1. Why is it that when someone comes out and states their opinion on gay marriage and its not the approving opinion they get shut down? And its not like she was obscene, rude or derogatory about it. Why should she have to lie about her honest belief just to pacify a “lifestyle”.

2. I don’t even think there should be political questions on this stupid pageant anyways. You are going to take away a women?s chances of winning because on the off chance of this kind of thing happens and the person expresses the belief that in conflicting to yours. So you’re going to penalize her even if her answer was perfectly worded and spoken.

3. All these “celebrities” have come out and commented on what she should have said. I say F you. You shouldn’t have to lie about your beliefs just because of the type of people that are business your in. So Miss California, I applaud you and even though I didn’t watch any of the stupid pageant, you should have won just on the shear fact that you didn’t give in like so many of the other airheads who just rattle out the same shit they always do about “World Peace” or something else that is unattainable. Good job.

Why Big Government Is Stoopid Part 2-Socialized Health Care

Sunday, April 19th, 2009 101 views

Health CareI, like the late great Martin Luther King, Jr., have a dream. I dream of a time when everyone one can have a health care provider they do not have to pay for. I have a dream people, that no matter how much money you make, you can afford to get seen by a doctor for your OS problem. Yes, I have a dream…Uhh, no. Unlike MLK Jr’s dream, mine looks good on paper but not so good in practice.

Well people this is part 2 of my probably never ending series entitled “Why Big Government Is Stoopid”. I know what some of you are saying…”Creep, wouldn’t free health care for everyone be super fucking awesome cool?” (more…)

Why Big Government Is Stoopid Part 1-Bailouts

Sunday, April 19th, 2009 82 views

Money with a BowThis was going to be one big long post, but after I started writing the bailouts section, I realized it would get way too big to read in one sitting. So here it is, WGIS Part 1-Bailouts.

On the subject of bailouts…why the fuck am I paying to bail companies out? If a company goes down because of poor management, decline in sales or any other reason, why should the taxpayers be forced to give them money to stay afloat? That’s not my problem unless I have a vested interest in the company. I drive a Honda so why should I give two shits about GM? A lot of businesses have come and gone…so what. That is the nature of business. Starting a company is like gambling-sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. It’s a risk you take when starting one. (more…)

And The Ending Is…

Spoiler Alert!!!Spoiler Alert!”  Do you ever go to a site to download a movie and the very first review you see says this before the article.  Do you every wonder why?  Well, I have experienced several instances in the past several years that give me an idea with why sites must add this tag to the beginning of every post; people are obsessed with ruining and spoiling the end to EVERYTHING!

Religion In School

Saturday, April 18th, 2009 98 views

Tabitha RuizI was watching FOX news the other day (yes I watch FOX news and yes I know its biased toward the right, but I am, in fact, a right leaner) and they did a story on two women, Kandy Kyriacou and Ojoma Omaga, who got threatened with suspension for praying for a sick professor at the College of Alameda. What the fuck is that? I understand we have this notion of seperation of church and state in this country and that’s fine, but why the hell should someone get suspended for praying in school?

About MSF.com

Steve and Chris started thingsthatpissusoff.com several years ago and was unfortunately shut down after only one year. MSF.com is an ongoing attempt to sort of "re-live" those days, but, at the same time, bring better writing and solid articles to the table. Feel free to comment on anything posted here because that's essentially what the site is here for. If you'd like to post your own articles to MSF.com, all you have to do is ask. Also, the ads shown on this site don't necessarily reflect MSF views or beliefs. They are semi-random and based on key words I think.
